Review:LEGO The Incredibles (PlayStation 4)

Pros:
- HD Crisp graphics.
- 20.02 GB download size.
- Tutorial- Little animation in a window bottom left with button prompts, But you can full screen that window. This way you can keep playing but still learn.
- Platinum trophy.
- Cool end of level breakdown as it is presented like a newspaper with multiple articles.
- Drop in/out local co-op.
- Studs- collect them by breaking things, Building things, Killing things. They full a bar which gives a gold brick at the end. If you are a returning player, Same stuff as all the previous games.
- Incredibricks- Collect special incredibricks and then you can build special locations/objects in the city or mission specific objects in the story mode.
- Open world city hub world. Here you have activities, Hidden collectibles, Incredibrick locations. You can mark the map and have a stud line to direct you.
- Crime waves- Side missions that are presented as a breaking news segment. These are proper mini missions with set goals and rewards.
- Areas on the map need to be visited not only trigger the crime waves but also unlock fast travel.
- Mini bags- Kind of like a loot box, You can buy them with studs but ultimately you earn them by doing missions and side quests. There are tiers to the bags- silver, gold etc. You get a random mini figure from the pack and that in turn unlocks the ability to play as them and also customize options.
- Same controls as always AKA easy controls.
- Tons of replayability.
- Easy to play.
- Do what you want and play how you want. You can ignore the main story for large portions of time.
- Map- Shows bricks, Missions, special builds etc. You have a mini-map and the big map can be viewed as a 2D or 3D world.
- Fast travel is near instant.
- Red bricks- Unlock game modifiers like infinite health, Mini kit detector etc.
- Map areas show your progress in regards to missions and collectibles.
- Parr family- Each is unique and really mixes up the gameplay.
- The city has different styles and weather so it all fits but feels different.
- Save and exit option.
- A lot of Disney Cameos.
- Vehicles- Can buy and spawn them whenever you are in the city.
- Little loading times between missions.
- A huge array of superheroes and villains.
- Takes parts from both Incredible movies.
- The character creator is back.
- Mini kits- Each level has them and you collect them to build unique builds.
- The game has secrets from levels to more.
Cons:
- Not original voices.
- Some of the jokes fall flat.
- Cutscenes lack any oompf or action, It just feels flat.
- Cant skip cutscenes or breaking news.
- No online co-op.
- Camera control is slow.
- Can feel overwhelmed in the city with all these icons and pop-ups.
- Driving is really tricky.
- Slight pop in.
- Long loading times when you get one especially three first initial load.
- Plays just the same as all the previous games.
