Space Hulk Deathwing Enhanced Edition is a First-Person Shooter based on Games Workshop’s cult classic board game set in Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Pros:

  • FOV slider.
  • Tutorial option, Finishing it will give you a difficulty suggestion based on performance.
  • Four difficulties- Disciple, Champion, Lion’s sword and no mercy.
  • Platinum trophy.
  • First person view.
  • Psygate- Transports you to a hub where you can heal, change loadouts and generally take a break.
  • In engine cutscenes.
  • Full end of level breakdown.

  • Gameplay is a first-person shooter.

  • Command your AI in singleplayer including changing their loadouts.
  • Space marines look absolutely amazing.
  • Strong voicework.
  • Can walk through teammates.
  • Tense feeling, You can hear the enemy screams, footsteps, gas pipes going off.
  • Unlock new weapons as you play.
  • Autosaves regularly.
  • PSY powers like electricity or an AoE trick.
  • Visceral melee combat, A lot of blood and parts.
  • Left for dead style end of the level where you must hold a point from the waves of enemies.

  • On-screen icons for goals.
  • Zoom in with your gun for a heat sig scope,
  • Many enemy types.
  • Fun to play.
  • Best played in mp.
  • Cracking soundtrack.

Cons:

  • Long load times.
  • Stutter and slowdown happen a lot sometimes when nothing is on the screen.
  • No run toggle.
  • Cannot skip cutscenes.
  • Slow clunky movement.
  • Small text.
  • The tutorial is very brief and not very in depth especially in relation to using your AI teammates.
  • Guns move erratically when shooting make it not fun or accurate.
  • Had full-screen lockups when playing.
  • A lot of actions take you out of the game. Hacking is a very cold experience, Using your Psygate just feels weird as you can pop it whenever.
  • Slow burner.
  • Never know when it has saved.
  • Creates a huge list of autosaves.
  • Missing some button prompts.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
