Pros:

  • 1.62GB Download size.
  • Surf school- Tutorial with 8 lessons.
  • Surfing game and plays a bit like Tony Hawks on water with varied flips and jumps.
  • Free surf- Pick a location, Set the weather and surf freely.
  • Weather- Day/night with sun and rain conditions.
  • Five difficulty events- Rookie to master.
  • Customise- Top, Shorts, wetsuit, board options like colour pattern or lights.
  • Unlock new customisable options by completing challenges.
  • Online- Public host, private and just play (quick match)
  • Trick list.
  • Simple control layout.
  • Each event has three bonus challenges.
  • Can ride in the tube (Curl of the wave)
  • 10 Trophies.
  • Combo counter.
  • Events range from survival to battles but it is ultimately about scoring the most points.
  • Satisfaction when nailing tricks.
  • Simple idea but well executed.

Cons:

  • Steep learning curve.
  • Lots of loading screens.
  • Stop starts alot.
  • Can be frustrating.
  • Camera is pretty much fixed and can hinder move execution.
  • Little variety.
  • Unlocking customisable options feels a little empty.
  • Very much a one an done affair.
