Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Delayed Until April 25, 2017 Following Beta Feedback

CI Games, creators of the Sniper Ghost Warrior and Lords of the Fallen series of games, has announced that Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will be delayed until Tuesday, April 25, 2017.

After some internal discussion with the development team, a decision was made to delay the release three more weeks to complete some final implementations based on feedback CI Games received during the beta.

“We’ve worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series,” said said Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games. “While it’s an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience – we know the wait will be worth it.”

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 tells the story of brotherhood, faith and betrayal in the most complete sniper experience ever. Take the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North, who is dropped into enemy territory in northern Georgia, nearby Russian borders. Explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather and a day and night cycle that actually impacts play and decisions. Customize weapon equipment, accessories, vehicles and a drone, and utilize the three pillars of gameplay to your liking: Sniper, Ghost and Warrior.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 launches on the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and Windows PC on April 25, 2017.

I did hear some people complain about the beta test but I wouldn’t think that they’d delay the game again. I think that the game performed well during the beta

I had a blast playing SGW 3 but people usually had problems with optimization. It all comes down to your rig, but I am sure that they will tweak the game to work on older PC’s as well

      • Fatty

Maybe… On the other hand they might want to make multiplayer and co-op playable on the release date

Well, I played beta and of course I saw some bugs, but it wasn’t bad. To be honest it was one of the best beta tests in my life.

Ah, it’s a little bit unfortunate, but if this three weeks are necessary to fix bugs and implement few changes, then I have no problem with waiting, I’m sure it will be worth of it

That’s the spirit! I hate it when people are saying that it’s been delayed too many times now. At least the game will be free of bugs. And yes, @disqus_ftwuyYEmhu:disqus there were some minor issues during the beta tests

      • Fatty

I think that the only problem was optimization. Could you please name other issues you have seen during open beta tests?

        • moreThanZero666

@Fatty I had the same, only optimisation issues. After that nothing. None a single crash. And for me even if this was beta this might show that this game is good prepared.

        • DannyB

Well they do have to fix some minor issues. I think that the climbing animation was a bit off… But it’s an easy fix if you ask me

    • Robert

I see why you’re disappointed, but it’s better to wait a little longer and play perfect game than installing patches again and again.
